Default PAP2T-NA Configuration

I just received my PAP2T-NA. I got it working properly with my Asterisk box, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I can get more information on all the configuration options. I can not find any documentation on what some of the settting mean and/or do. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I understand you completely because the User Guide that comes with the unit is limited on data, and just gets us started. Usually the more advanced information is listed in an Admin Guide, but I have not yet seen an Admin Guide for the Pap2t, nor the Pap2 for that matter, what i did was googled the Admin Guide for Sipura (100++ pages) which helps in understanding menu areas of the Pap2 and Pap2t units.

If you, or anyone, should find an Admin Guide specifically for the Pap2t, let us all know.

I recently purchased a PAP2T-NA and hooked it up with a stanaphone account, so my parents can call me from bangalore.
The outgoing calls are working properly, but the incoming call dont seem to work. It is directly going to the stanaphone voicemail. The phone does not ring at all.

I found some listings which talk about the ring voltage needing to be 90 and the ring frequency needing to be 30. But, this still didnt help.

Any solution to this problem is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You may want to make sure your firewalls are off and also open up ports for your ATA via your router's web interface might help. After accessing the router's menu, you should see admin settings, then forwarding and set these parameters for the sip port you are using for your ATA and these additional ports as well:

Configure these areas with the port numbers and ranges (ie. 5060-5061), IP Addresses of your ATA, and by placing checks in the check boxes; the Port, the Protocol (udp/tcp), the IP Address , and Enable such as:

ports 5060-5061, check tcp and udp boxes, ATA IP, Address check this box
(and do the same for these port ranges for your ATA unit 53-63, 69-69, 10,000-20,000 )

Also if you need more info, you can visit my site which briefly discusses how to setup a PAP2T/PAP2 at Voipme2u Voip Services

I had the same problem when I hooked up mine. Changing the Ring Waveform ro Trapezoid fixed it for me. You can find this setting under the Regional tab.
