Drop land line service use cell phone dock n talk? I have Verizon cell service and use a Motorola V-710. I want to drop and disconnect my land line service totally and use a cell phone docking station that ties into my wired land line in my house. Dock N Talk makes a couple of models where one you can plug into your cell phone and use the house circuit or two you can use two cell phones using bluetooth that connects wirelessly to the docking station. I believe they call this model the Pantheon model.
1st question: The Dock N talk company told me I needed a "full function" blue tooth compatible cell phone. I think the V-710 is but not sure. Try getting information from Verizon, good luck! Does anyone know if the v-710 is full function?
2nd question: I have TIVO on one television and a digital receiver/recorder from CABLEONE on another. I read somewhere that the phone has to be DTMF capable (whatever that means) for the TIVO and CABLEONE box to communicate to their update headquarters. Does any one know if the V-710 is DTMF capable?
Does anyone have any experience with Dock N Talk and or hopefully using it with a Motorrola v-710 and have Tivo and Cableone both? (I'm not lucky at the lottery either).
I have considered vonage and others but I want to totally get rid of the phone bill where we already have cell phones but want to use my Land Line wiring in the house. Any other suggestions? Thanks in Advance.
