Default D-Link Routers with VOIP

I see some ads offering wired and wireless D-link routers with VOIP build in.
It seems it is packaged with LINGO service.
Has anyone used that yet, and if, does Lingo lock the device or could one change provider?
Or even better yet: Can one purchase one without the Lingo service?

Default RE: D-Link Routers with VOIP

If the model name ends with "L" the device is locked to Lingo, but apparently there are methods floating around that can release the lock when you are no longer using Lingo.

Also, I understand that on two port models both ports must be using the same service provider, although they can have separate numbers on that same service provider.

Default Unlock 1402SL

I have a Dlink 1402SL, and I subsequently opted to not use Lingo. So, it is now a door stop. I understand there are Unlock methods mentioned that are available. Where might I look for that procedure.

Do you still have your DVG-1402S/L as a door stop?

Go to http://forum.sipphone.com and find out how you can unlock your DLink DVG-1402S VoIP router with SIPPhone firmware. Your best option is to get a Lingo S34 firmware that has no password. I would stay away from older version of Lingo firmware for my DVG-1402S VoIP router, YMMV.
