Default Cisco 7940 Sip

I am sure you have all read this before but i am pulling my hair out. I have a 7940 Cisco IP Phone. I want it on SIP. I have upgraded the firmware to 6.3 i want now to go to a newer version. I have tried 7.1 7.2 8.2 8.4 and 8.6 but when i try to upgrade it asks for P0S3-06-3-00.loads file and there isnt one anywhere i can find. Is this a known problem and is there a work around?'

Elliot

Hi I have been trying to upgrade my 7940G Phone from SCCP to SIP, i have the later Firmware from th CISCO Site Version 8.6.0 but by the reading on the internet that i have done i need to start at version 6.3 or around there first but i can not find the old firmware files. Do you have the 6.3 Files as it looks like you have already got to this stage.

Thanks Adam

I've had a look on cisco's site and as you say there is no loads files. I have the rest of 6.3 plus the install notes if that helps.

I'm not actually trying any of this stuff atm. I'm actually trying to get CCME to register with a sip service provider, so if you have any ideas about that, let me know.

Best
