Default Broadvoice Falcon phone?

Does anyone have any details on the GSM/WIFI phone "Falcon" that BV is releasing? I wonder if it can be unlocked for use with Asterisk or other SIP services. Also wondering who makes it...

Thanks for any details!

Jonathan

It looks like it might be the Taipei-based G-Tek Electronics' PWG-500 dual-mode Wi-Fi SIP and GSM phone...

See:
http://www.g-tekgroup.com/products/

Anyone have a confirmation? Hey, if the shoe fits... ;-)

Ahh, thanks for this. Even if it isn't, this is interesting in its own right.

One of their partner stories outlines the newest model they have coming out, PWG-600. It does WIFI/Cell hand-off. Perhaps, this is the one that BV is going to use. I'd like to buy a non-provider device anyway.

The only feature I see missing from the G-Tek device is STUN. They make a point of saying that they support Outbound Proxy, but are mute about STUN.

They list "Outbound Proxy for NAT Traversal". Could this be anything but STUN?

UPDATE: See http://www.paesys.com/en/GSM_WIFI_du...one_PWG600.htm

VoIP (On/Off, STUN, SPK/MIC Volume, Codec, Call Control, Up to 10 account profiles)

I think we have a winner!

The G-Tek web site doesn't mention STUN, but Paesys does. We may just have a winner. Now, the only feature I would like to have added is a mini web interface to be able to log in to subscription hotspots like T-Mobile and Boingo.

English is behind the ENGLISH button at the bottom left of the Paragon Wireless page.
