AudioCodes MP-203 FXO port configuration help needed...

Hi,

Do anyone here knows how to configure the FXO port on the AudioCodes MP-203 B 2FXS 1 FXO SIP ATA ??

I have configured the PSTN access code as 9 but every times when i dial 9, there will be a IVR saying that i am not allowed to access this line. Other than this setting, there is no other settings for me to configure the FXO port already.

How can i configure the FXO port to be able to receive incoming call and also make outgoing call through the PSTN line connected to the FXO port ??

Did you find the answer to your question? I'm struggling with the mp203 myself, I can't use the PSTN line to dial out or receive calls.
And the documentation is not of much help...

I'm using firmware version 2.6.3_p12_1_build_8

Juanphy, have you had any luck configuring the MP-203? I also am attempting to configure it for use this way, and haven't figured it out yet. I was hoping you could share a config file (with all your secret info deleted of course).

John,

We finally contacted our reseller and they informed us that the MP-203 is not capable of accepting calls on the FXO port from the SIP side (although there's some documentation on how that could work on the audiocodes web site but we were unable to make that happen).

The FXO port is for outbound only and from the FXS port only (911 calls for example).

At least with the current firmware, so we had to stick to the MP114 or other brands like linksys for the time being...

A shame...

Sad news, but thank you. I may have to dig out our old Sipura units. Their quality just left a bit to be desired for business use. Maybe with more bandwidth they might work better.
