| Hi everyone, I have just joined the forum and am a complete noob to the voip concept, so go easy on me. I decided to start out really easy with a simple home system and take it from there. Due to DSL commitments [1 year contract with AT&T] I cannot disconnect the phone line but decided to reduce service to a minimum measured rate local only line and divert all LD and International calls through a voip system. To do this I bought a Zoom 5801 which has the voip and POTS connection with the idea that all incoming calls and outgoing local calls will be through the landline. I put all this together and started a voipstunt account and to my surprise it all seemed to work great despite terrible documentation from zoom. However I just noticed that the CID on incoming calls is messed up and all calls say "L2 [linefeed] 2". This is the case on the phone connected to the ATA and on phones connected direct to the POTS line on another outlet. Disconnect the ATA and the incoming CIDs are correct. Does anyone have an idea what this could be, I sent zoom tech support a email but that may take some time. Also I noticed that half of the menus in the zoom setup are not accessable, do I need a special login for these. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated |
