Cool E61 help

Hello there,

a friend today wanted to test my service on his E61 and although all was fine in his account that i created for him, and account was working fine from PC and IP Phone, we could not get the E61 to work.

He was connected using GPRS to his Sim provider and GSM carrier, and waited after connecting to GPRS for SIP to be registered but it never was.

from what i understood, SIP with E61 only works with Wifi ? and not GPRS ?

please advice

kind regards

Thumbs up Re: E61 help

Hello

That is not true. I have a company specialized on VoIP integrations, and at this moment we are using about 50% of IP Phones with Nokia E series.

We configure our custumers phones to use the phone on WiFi zone and automaticly roaming to 3G and GPRS connections (not during a call, off course!!)

There are some important aspects you need to take if you are trying to use with GPRS, such as the audio codecs. I recomend the usage of 3G data connections for better relliability. The other aspects are related with your SIP Proxy and how is configured with the Realm Domain.

If you need more help I need to know better what kind of plattform you are using to register the phone. ;-p

Best Regards
