To get asterisk working with your N-95: Clean the proxy settings section (leave with blank fields). Go to wireshark and look for the 401 unauthorized response from asterisk server. In the response, look for the realm value (it´s usually asterisk). Back to your phone, go to registrar settings section, put the realm value that you found on the 401 response (ie. asterisk) in realm field. It´s normal for any sip based device or software to try registering without the autorization digest (password), when these devices receive a 401 response, they try sending the password along with a new register request. In N-95 case, nokia made the sip component in full accordance with IETF SIP specification, that checks the SIP realm value prior sending the password. If isn´t a match, the N-95 will not send the second request. Hope I´ve helped. Last edited by luismallozzi : June 22nd, 2008 at 05:08 AM. |
