Hi, If anyone could offer any insignt and help into this, I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you in advance. I own an Xlink. I recently purchased the CM2000 from Woodtel www.woodtel.com so that I would have the ability to use the mobile to mobile feature with my cell phone provider with my landline. I own a Sipura3102 for VoIP. One major issue I am having with the CM2000 and the Xlink is when I call the mobile phone that is Bluetooth connected to the Xlink, the CM2000 will answer it on the 3rd ring. I will then input a 4 digit PIN, just like with the Sipura3102, however the CM2000 does not seem to recognize the DTMF tones. I dont understand why this is happening. I have read of other people on this forum that are doing the same mobile to mobile feature as myself with the Sipura3102 and VoIP services and they are having no troubles with DTMF tones. I am calling this cell phone connected to the Xlink from another cell phone on my cell phone provider calling plan. Let me clarify though that Woodtel makes great products, the CM2000 is working fine in all aspects, its just somewhere in all the transmissions the DTMF tones must be getting distorted and the CM2000 cant recognize the tones. When I hooked up the CM2000 to my landline and called my landline from my cell phone, everything worked great, the CM2000 recognized all the DTMF tones. I am assuming and predicting that one of the major problems could be that when using two mobile phones on the same carrier, when trying to transmit DTMF tones from one cell phone to another, the tones must be getting distorted, which makes ATA's and other devices to not be able to accurately recognize the tones. 1a) Has anyone else had issues such as this with your devices not recognizing the DTMF tones? 1b) Why is it that the CM2000 cant recognize the DTMF tones? 2) Is there a way I can fix this? 3) Do you think it might be the Xlink that is causing the problems? 4) Would the Dock N Talk with a cable connection cell phone work better with DTMF tones? I really would like to try to get this mobile to mobile feature to work, so I can re-route all my calls via my landline and VoIP line. Thanks to any and all that can provide some assistance with this.

If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. Again I am having issues with the DTMF tones. When I call the cell phone connected to the Xlink from my other cell phone, the DTMF tones seem to get distorted. I dont know if this is a problem with the Xlink, it could just be a problem with transmitting tones via the Wireless Network I have my cell phone service with. My cell phone service is with Verizon Wireless. I even tried calling the cell phone connected to the Xlink from a regular landline, and again the device on the other end does not recognize the DTMF tones. I am having this issue with the Dialmate CM2000 and the SPA3102. If anyone has experience with this, please help. How can I fix the DTMF tone issue? What causes this problem? Thank you

I don't know much about your specific device, but I can tell you a little something about "distorted" dtmf codes. Usually this is due to using "In-Band" signaling where it actually sends the noise and the noise is then interpretted. The better way to do this is using out of band signaling known as "RFC-2833" Most devices allow you to select DTMF to either "In-Band" "Auto" "RFC-2833" - I would try RFC-2833 ... Oh - and also if you are doing transcoding (going between one codec and another such as G.723 and G.711 - you can find problems with DTMF too. Hope you can decipher my dribble and it helps you. Good Luck, Krzy

Thanks for the reply, but the devices I am using the Xlink and CM2000 Dialmate do not have individual settings to change the type of DTMF tones they are using. I wish they did or this may work. Thanks for your help though.
