Default WRVS4400N and SPA9000 Voice Issues

Greetings,

I have a Linksys AM200 DSL modem connected to a Linksys WRVS4400N router. My Linksys SPA9000 is connected to WRVS4400N. The phones and lines register all right to ITSP and PBX. I can even make and receive calls.

The problem is "voice". In case of both, incoming and outgoing calls the calling or the called party is not able to hear my voice at all. I can hear the calling party (in case of an incoming call) or the called party (in case of an outgoing call) loud and clear but the other side cannot hear a single word. I tried port forwarding, port triggering etc. on WRVS4400N router, but nothing seems to work. I even tried disabling the SPI Firewall but to no avail.

Can anyone please help me fixing this issue?

Any help is appreciated.

Regards,

-redmat

Default Re: WRVS4400N and SPA9000 Voice Issues

It seems like the problem is with the NAT/STUN configuration of the SPA 9000. I have SPA 3000 connected on the same setup and it works fine. The audio on SPA 3000 is quite clear in both directions.

I am not sure what should I change for the NAT Support Parameters on SPA 9000 and the same settings used to work completely fine in my previous setup where I had an Alcatel Speedtouch ST585 ADSL Modem+Router. It is just when I took the Speedtouch out and added Linksys AM200 and WRVS4400N Router that my SPA 9000 is having one way audio problem (where the other party whether called or calling, cannot hear me at all).

On SPA 9000 SIP tab, under NAT Support Parameters I have:

Handle VIA received: No
Handle VIA rport: No
Insert VIA received: No
Insert VIA rport: No
Substitue VIA Addr: Yes
Send Resp to Src Port:Yes
STUN Enable: Yes
STUN Test Enable: Yes
STUN Server: stun.fwdnet.net
NAT Keep Alive Intvl: 30

On the other hand, my SPA 3000 (working without any problem) has:

Handle VIA received: Yes
Handle VIA rport: Yes
Insert VIA received: Yes
Insert VIA rport: Yes
Substitue VIA Addr: Yes
Send Resp to Src Port:No
STUN Enable: Yes
STUN Test Enable: Yes
STUN Server: stun.fwdnet.net:3478
NAT Keep Alive Intvl: 15

I tried to change the NAT Parameter settings on SPA 9000 to reflect what I have on SPA 3000. Strangely enogh, the one way audio problem remains. I then tried removing Linksys AM200 modem and WRVS4400N router from the setup going back to the old setup with Speedtouch (Thomson ST585) Modem+Router and everything works like a breeze. No audio issues at all.

Could any one please shed some light on this and help me fix the annoying problem I am having with my new devices.

Any help in this regard is highly appreciated

Thanks,
-redmat
