| Guys, I have recently set up SPA9000 system with 3 SPA941 phones. I have SIP account with Orbtalk | free phone service over your broadband - voice over ip provider, which I managed to set up. My problem is when someone calls on the SIP number - it ring on the 3 phones and I pick it up. During this time if second person rings on line 2 for example - the VOICE quality on the second call is not good at all - the first one is OK. I tested it with third call during this and is getting worse... Just the 1st call is ok. Can you help with resolution? Thanks |

I am using ADSL connection, connected as follow: Downstream Rate: 4096 Kbps Upstream Rate: 576 Kbps I have the problem when I am using only 2 phones at the same time. If I use the 3rd - it gets really worse. Can I improve this from the PBX setings? I have enabled QoS on port 5060 and 5065. No idea what else? Thanks |

QoS in signalling ports will do very little for ya.. you need to have uplink QoS for the RTP traffic.. if your router permits, use port or MAC address priorization and make sure the SPA9k is connected to the priorized port (in case of mac priorization, it doesn't matter).. also, how much uplink and downlink traffic is there during these experiments? |

| Hi humba3 This is what my router reports on the Status DSL tab (router is Linksys as well). I am actually paying for 8meg broadband, but can only connect to 4meg.. For QoS I have 3 custom ports to prioritise on QoS - I have put ports 5060 and 5065 (which is the default SIP port). How I can check the actual uplink and downlink traffic during the experiments? Also, I was wondering - if I use the LAN IP of the SPA9k - would it make any difference? With the first call everying is ok, as for the second - quality is poor. Thanks |
