Default SPA94x Phones

The Linksys product pages for these phones claim presence as a feature
http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...VisitorWrapper
but when I try to find any reference to that feature in the administration manual I cannot find any. Is this an error or is it called something else?
Thanks.

Default Re: SPA94x Phones

I thought I might get a quick reply from someone on the Voxilla site because of the wealth of knowledge that forum members have but as I did not I called the number at the bottom of the webpage that claimed the SPA941 supported presence. After being shunted several times from one person to another and opening up a trouble ticket I was finally transferred to someone in product technical support that would (I was told) be able to answer my question. The person said he had not been trained on the SPA941 nor did he know what the feature "presence" was. He asked me to spell it. He said he would have to research this and told me he would call or email me with an answer. Kind of scarey when the people whose name is on the product are unaware of a feature that their own advertising describes. So I believe the answer is no to my original question. I hope this helps anyone who has read the Linksys promotional material and wants to implement presence using an SPA94x phone.

maybe they consider the BLF that you can have with the add-on module (though only for the 962) as presence? I haven't read anything about presence in any firmware release notes so either they refer to an upcoming firmware, they mistakenly put BLF=presence and forget that it only works with the add-on module or the page is simply wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if it were option 3 though.. for the longest time they claimed standard compatibility for the SPA9k.. it took months and me pointing out that those claims and a complete denial of such a thing by their support staff might be considered by some as grounds for a lawsuit until it was changed.
