Default SPA9000 Wizard Fails on Step #6 & Registration of remote

I've been trying to configure my spa9000 and I have been following the "eazy route" by using the setup wizard. On step #5 I assumed that my connection was DHCP because I'm running XP and my ipconfig said DHCP. So, I got to step #6 where it asks where you want you IP phones connected. I selected WAN because I want all of my 4 extension phones to be in a different Geographical location. Anyway, I got the the "Failed to verify changes, contact system administrator message. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Also, guidance on registering remote (not on the local network) IP phones would be appreciated I have 4 linksys 901 phones that I'd like to register. Aren't linksys IP phones supposed to automatically register anyway?
