(thats after i have sucessfully configured axon/trixbox so i know a thing ot two..) this is the deal: i have 1 spa9000, spa3000 (same network) workes fine spa2002 & spa841 on remote locations (conecting via internet) they cant comunicate... why? conection diagram: pppoe> router+DMZ> 1. spa9000 (everything is comunicating thru WAN) 2. spa3000 (the rason i didnt attached the spa9000 directly to the internet is that it not have dyndns (i use dns rather the ip) support so i/other extentions cant know if ip of spa9000 changed....) what is this crazy stuff with port 6060? i cant register even locally other adapters such as zyxel 2002l, grandstream devices and so on! if i change the port from 6060 i loose my fxs lines on spa9000. thxn very much for helping... this device is starting to be a major headake... | Umm.. I'm not sure if anybody has successfully managed to operate the SPA9000 behind NAT, especially if your remote devices are not directly connected to the Internet (behind a NAT). If you can establish a VPN tunnel between the remote location and the central office, then I know it will work out. The SPA9000 uses a different port to differentiate between trunks (line1-2) and local devices. It is possible to change it to 5060, but then you'd have to change the port of line1 (which by default uses 5060) - at least I think so (I once set the proxy port to 5060 and my line1 port to 5064 and that worked.. I never tried with both on the same port). Do you have a Linksys phone connected to the box? There are a bunch of implementation errors on the SPA9000 that prevent many devices from properly connecting to the SPA9000 - however, at least the GXP-2000 works just fine (I have one). I've also managed to connect the WIP300 and a Snom 370 to the box (UTstarcom, Siemens and Nokia devices are a bust though, as are many softphones). Since the SPA9000 uses a different port, you have to configure the proxy as follows on the GXP: <ip-spa9000>:6060, the user id is the extension you want the phone to have, and that's all in terms of configuration - note that you don't have a password and no auth id, things you probably use on your tribox. If you use the SPA3000 is gateway for the SPA9000, then you most likely have it connected to the WAN side of the SPA9000 (the side that talks with "the outside world") - your phones are on the LAN side so if you never had anything connected successfully, and you are making sure the configuration of the phones is properly done, then perhaps you didn't change the "Proxy Network Interface:" to WAN - I believe by default it's set to LAN. |

| first, thank you for your answer i have read all in the manual and every tab possibile i changed to wan. SPA3000 this problem resolved by changing the DTMF info send and resolved but as i said its behind nat, i just dont understand how a free tool like AXON (about1MB) can be better the a "linksys" very expenssive product?... by the way the licence for 16 lines, refers to internal extentions(phones) or OUTGOING SIP lines (providers)? IMPORTANAT QUESTION ABOUT SPA3000 can i "log" into the SPA3000 directly from another SIP device exacty as it was a provider? thank you! |

logging in i mean REGISTER a SIP device into the SPA3000 like it would be a VOIP provider...... not that the SPA will send a register, that the SPA will RECIVE a register... possibile??? |

I have spa9000 connected directly to the internet as a router and the network interface is even WAN and I've made two linksys phones connected remotely. I can let them both ring but when answered no sound. Anyway idea about it? |
