| I've been using this combination for a few years with relatively good success. On 1-2 occasions I've had registration fail between the two of them for no apparent reason. Yesterday I was testing / tracing some cat5 and had the unit powered down and disconnected. When completed I reconnected and once again, it will not register. I've triple checked all relevent settings on both units, but still no success. In the past my problem was solved by experimenting with various power cycle procedures untill it worked.. doesn't seem to work this time. I downloaded and installed the latest firmware for both units hoping there might have been some fix for this problem since I last dealt with it (.. about a year ago), but no luck there either! Any help would be greatly appreciated. ************************************************** **** ************* SOLVED ********************************** 1 Check the userID is exactly the same as the userID on the SPA9000 line tab 2 Set the SPA400 to discover the SPA9000 automatically 3 Set signalling port to 5060 ..for some reason this changed to 5090; missed it on my 'triple check' 4 Set RTP port to 10000 5 Make sure both units are on the same subnet. 6 Save changes 7 Reboot the SPA400 by cycling the power. 8 Reboot the SPA9000 by cycling the power - wait 30 seconds after cycling the SPA400 before doing this. There are some new firmware updates available for the SPA400 and SPA9000 ( aka spa9K ) Last edited by travisn000 : September 25th, 2008 at 08:07 PM. Reason: Solved |
