Default SPA400 and CME

Hi Guys,

I have successfully got CME and SPA400 working together, now i would like to use the functionality on VoiceMail from SPA400, the error message i get is this:

2742- VMS 3 INVITE Can't find user * from From:
2- VMS 3 Find user from Referred-By: instead
8- VMS 3 Could not find user use spa400 instead
30- VMS 4 -- Executing VoiceMail("SIP/spa400-8df1", "u8888") in new stack

10- VMS 3 No entry in voicemail config file for '8888'

10- VMS 4 -- Executing Hangup("SIP/spa400-8df1", "") in new stack

10- VMS 4 == Spawn extension (home, 805, 2) exited non-zero on 'SIP/spa400-8df1'

--------------------

The configuration of the SPA400 is:

SPA9000 user ID: spa400
SPA9000 subscriber ID: 8888
Mailbox deposit number: 805
Mailbox manage number: 800

Which number should i be pointing to for leaving a message?

Thank you in advance...

Hi Guys,

I got the Voice Mail to work, but it's only working for a single number, it's not picking up the Called ID from CCME...

The only way i got it working is to specify default ID in SPA9000 subscriber ID: <exten num>

So if SPA400 cannot identify the called number it uses default ID which is SPA9000 subscriber ID:

Is there a command in CCME you can send Called ID to SIP VM server?

Unless you're using an asterisk (where using the SPA400 VM would be kinda redundant), I don't know of any other PBX that allows you to add / manipulate headers in SIP packets.
The SPA400 uses a proprietary header field in the INVITE to identify which box a call should go to. Since you can't add that (well.. you could use Linksys phones.. then I suppose it would work unless the CME removes header fields which normally isn't permitted), you only have the option to have everybody call the head number.. but that'll give you problems with mailbox depositing.. if you forward to voicemail, the caller also first has to enter the extension for which he/she wants to deposit a message.

I have to ask though... why don't you use Unity Express? It's mean to work together with the CME.. the SPA400 on the other hand really only works with the SPA9k for voicemail, and is a crappy gateway on top of that.

Hello Surfer_nz,

can you, please, elaborate if you got the SPA400 working as a VM server or PSTN gateway?

In either case, can you post config details on CME, please?

Thank you in advance!
