| We are running an SPA9000, SPA3000, & SPA400 with a set of SPA941, SPA942 & SPA901 phones. We are able to transfer internal calls, and transfer external calls that we initiate (via a VoIP ITP registered with the SPA9000) from one SPA941/942 to another. However, we cannot seem to transfer calls received via the SPA3000. Nor can we put calls received via the SPA3000 on hold. As soon as we press XFER or Hold keys on the SPA941 or SPA942, the call is lost. The SPA3000 still indicates it has a connection on the PSTN line, but there doesn't seem to be any way to retrieve the call from any of the IP phones. The caller simply dangles on the PSTN line without any hold music until they give up and try again. Any clues? I am happy to provide access to copies of our existing SPA configuration pages via a website, please PM me for the address. |

| How do you interconnect the SPA3k and the SPA9k? Using the proxy method or the IP dialling approach? Then, is the XFER bridge mode active on the SPA9k line that connects to the SPA3k?

| Hello humba3, Perhaps I have a slightly confused configuration from the SPA3000 as, as far as I can tell, I have configured both a proxy and IP dialing: SPA3000 (192.168.17.201, Firmware 3.1.20(GW)) - PSTN Line Proxy and RegistrationProxy = 192.168.17.200:6060Use Outbound Proxy = NoRegister = YesMake Call Without Reg = YesAns Call Without Reg = Yes PSTN-To-VoIP Gateway Setup:PSTN-To-VoIP Gateway Enable = YesPSTN Caller Default DP = 2 Dial Plans:SPA9000 (192.168.17.200, Firmware 5.1.9) - Voice - Line 1Dial Plan 2 = (<:@192.168.17.200:5060>S0) SIP Port = 5060 SIP Proxy-Require = (blank) SIP Remote-Party-ID = Yes Contact List = 690,cfwd=aa Call Capacity = unlimited VMSP Bridge = All + Self CFWD Bridge Mode = all XFER Bridge Mode = all Ans Call Without Reg = YesEach SPA942 (192.168.17.21x, Firmware 5.2.5) - Ext 1 Shared Ext = shared Shared User ID = 690 Proxy = 192.168.17.200:6060 Use Outbound Proxy = No Ext 2: Shared Ext = private Shared User ID = 60x Proxy = 192.168.17.200:6060 Use Outbound Proxy = NoAlso, based on advice from Linksys (who have drawn a blank on this issue), I have activated the NAT Mapping Enable and NAT Keep Alive Enable on all devices, even though all transactions associated with our lost call problem are being conducted entirely without traversing a NAT gateway. When a call comes in via the SPA3000, each SPA942 rings on Ext 1. Any SPA942 can successfully answer the call. The intention here was that the call could then either be placed on hold (and therefore taken off hold by anyone that also had a 690 extension on their phone) or specifically transferred to an individual extension (60x) via a XFER request. Neither of these are currently working. Note that when the hold or XFER button on the SPA942 is pressed for an inbound call via the SPA3000, the SPA9000 still shows the Inbound call connected to station 690 on the PBX Status page. The SPA3000 also continues to show the PSTN State as "PSTN Caller Accepted" and VoIP State as "Connected". But, none of the SPA942 phones continue to show the call on line 690. I hope this additional information helps. Happy to provide more detail if it is required. Thanks. |

| I think there's some info missing here.. please save the configs, zip them up and attach them here.. looking at what you're used to makes things a lot more effective.

| Please find our SPA9000 Voice configuration, SPA3000 configuration and two SPA942 configurations in the attached ZIP. Note that lines 2-4 on the SPA9000 are in an experimental state and can be ignored, as can line 4 on the SPA942 x604. I have replaced any external IP addresses, phone numbers or personally identifying text with x's, but the configurations are otherwise unchanged. I hope these help. I look forward to your comments. |

| In desperation, I've performed a factory reset on our entire set of Linksys equipment, ditched the SPA3000 and started afresh using the SPA400 as only the PSTN link to the SPA9000. It took 10 hours to iron out a few other bugs that crept in, but everything now seems to be working ok. Thank you humba3 and anyone else for any time you spent delving through our SPA configuration files in search of any clues on our behalf. |

| Raoula, Are you only losing calls on XFER from calls that arrive via the PSTN and not a direct VoIP line into the SPA9000? What equipment are you using to interface to the PSTN network? Is it an SPA3000 with your SPA9000? |
| |||
| Hi Coolfish, The equipment is an SPA9000 and SPA3000. The call transfer issue appears to only be on incoming pstn calls via the SPA3000. I have not tried an incoming sip line, but internally calls between handsets seem fine, and they can transfer to other internal lines fine. Cheers, |

| If you zip up your SPA9000 and SPA3000 configurations along with a representative configuration for one of your SPA94x phones (save the Advanced Administration settings as a single HTML file for each device), I'd be happy to compare it to our current settings to see if I can offer any clues. We are now running with an SPA9000 and SPA400 combination, but there still may be something that stands out. |
