| Folks, I bought Linksys SPA2102-NA (Unlocked) couple of weeks ago, I wanted to set it up with Brian Tell Service for my uncle. Now the problem is as following When I dial **** and then enter 110, It gives me the IP which is 192.168.0.101 so when I enter the following in my browser http://192.168.0.101/admin/advanced, Page not found error shows up When I enter http://192.168.0.101/admin or http://192.168.0.101, Same Page not found error shows up Now when I enter http://192.168.0.1 i.e. The default IP mentioned in the booklet,I get a user name and password pop up. Now I do not know what the password and user name is, Please help.......... I have also tried http://192.168.0.1/admin/advanced or http://192.168.0.1/admin but both give me page not found error |

| According to the SPA2102 user guide, there is no password set, by default. Admin Guide: http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...=5101254856B02 Linksys, SPA2102: http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...VisitorWrapper You may need to start over from scratch and do a factory reset to get back to the factory defaults. From the phone you can perform Factory Reset; Press 73738 then Press 1 to confirm. Press * (star) to cancel. The Phone Adapter will request confirmation; enter 1 to confirm. You will hear, “Option successful.” Hang up the phone. The Phone Adapter will reboot, and all settings will be reset to their factory default settings. | Thanks for the info. I tried the reset but still am running into the same issue i.e. when I enter http://192.168.0.1/admin/advanced I get page not found and when I enter http://192.168.0.1 only, I get a user name and password prompt |

Once reset, no password should be required. Thus, at the login prompt at http://192.168.0.1, you should just be able to press enter and be logged in. If it is telling you you need a password, then I am suspecting that you may have an old password stored in the browser password cache that it is using. The only way to determine this is to "clear" all browser stored passwords. For example, in IE7 you would do as follows: Tools-->Internet Options-->General Tab-->Browsing History-->Delete This will bring you to "Delete Browser History" dilogue box. In the "Passwords" section, click "Delete" button. Confirm by clicking "Yes". OK out of Tools Options windows. Now, see if http://192.168.0.1, at the Login prompt, will login with out a password, after you press Ok, or Enter? P.S. I never let my browser store my passwords. I keep them all stored in a password protected file where I only need to remember just 1 pw. P.S. I'm also assuming you are accessing the SPA2102 from the LAN side of SPA2102 (192.168.0.x), after the adapter, and not trying to access from the WAN side (before the adapter)...
