Default DND - Pick up Problem with SPA9000 + SPA942 + SPA922

Hello,

I'm having some problems with the products :
1 SPA9000
4 SPA922
2 SPA921
2 SPA942

The problems are :

First, I wanted to add a phone number per phone/extension. So i subscribe 8 phone lines to a subscriber. Than I realize that the SPA9000 is limited with 4 lines. So, I purchased the license key to upgrade the SPA9000. Unfortunetly, the upgrade is made to register with 16 extension, and not 16 line.

1 line is used to the aa. the three other lines are used for three phones. So I have other 5 phones which are joinable only with the extension on the aa, but not directly.

So I manage to use the SPA942 like this :
Line 1 which register with spa9000
Line 2 for the external number( login and password from the subscriber)

So i can use line 1 for the corporate, and the line 2 to join me directly.

The problem is that with this solution i lost a lot benefit of the SPA. For exemple, an employee is having a call on line 2 from his spa942, but he's not here. I want to pick his call. In grPick up, i saw Employee <E2>number. It means that someone is calling him on the line 2. When i choose pickup, it says "Call ended".

The second problem is that some services like 'Do not Disturb' doesn't work on all line. When i use dnd, it works on the line1 but not on other lines : So, on dnd, someone can call me on my direct line.

Is there some solutions for this problems? I'm very disapointed with my actual configuration. A lot of services that I expected for the SPA9000 doesn' work. Why only 4 lines registration???

Thank you all in advance

Krishna

What if you do a direct pickup and enter the extension number that is ringing?

You might be able to get multiple DIDs on the same line depending on the provider... the SPA9k could route incoming calls on the same line in function of the number that was called.

Thank you very for your answer humba3

When I do an simple pick up, I have also "Call ended".

My provider is Phonesystems.

I'm interested about your solutions about getting multiple DIDs on the same line.

How do I specify it on the SPA942-922?

The adress of my SPA9000 is 192.168.0.10:6060
on the line 1 of the SPA942 :
proxy : 192.168.0.10:6060
userid : 3233

on the line 2 of the SPA942 :
proxy : sip.phonesystems.net
userid : phone number
password : password

Thank you very much for your help

Oh wait.. I think I misread your original post.. you have line two on the phone directly connected to an IPTSP? You can forget about pickup in such a scenario. If at all, you'd have to send the pickup message to the IPTSP - and your IPTSP would have to support pickup as well.

And as far as multiple DIDs per line goes.. that's something your IPTSP needs to support.. once you have that in place. check the spa9k manual, it shows how you can route incoming calls on the same line to different internal extensions based on the number that was called.
