Pap2Boy: I didn't access the IVR remotely, after successfully turning my brother's SPA into a brick, I called him on his legacy home phone line and asked him to try to reset the Sipura thru the IVR.

daMANiack: I accessed the config page directly through the internet, didn't need to use VNC or RDP..IVR is Interactive Voice Response menu that you access through the phone connected to line 1.

my spa9000 has died too (after trying to set a static ip address).. i can't even reset it with a phone plugged into the FXS port.. the status light just flashes slowly..

ok well my third SPA9000 has crashed. it happened after setting a static WAN IP.

Phone boy, i can't seem to get hold of the SPA recovery tool you mentioned. is that for the 9000 as well?
