 WIP300 Mic Volume Painfully LOUD I recently purchased (from Voxilla, thank you very much) a Linksys WIP300 WiFi IP phone. With one exception, it works great. However, due to the problem, it's totally unusable. The microphone is way too sensitive. It's so sensitive that the phone will generate feedback when I dial the Asterisk "Echo Test." Callers complain of hearing themselves echo - which is a result of the hyper-sensitive microphone picking up the sound from the earpiece "speaker." Before even trying the originally delivered firmware, I upgraded to 1.00.08 which I believe to be the current "stable" version. The Linksys Data Sheet indicates that the microphone volume is adjustable but I can't seem to figure out how. I'm hoping you can help - I'm in enough trouble for spending big bucks on this phone as it is! Dan     |
