What is the difference between "VOIP ATA LINKSYS SPA1001" and "VoIP ATA SIPURA SPA-1001" ? 1. Is there any Hardware diffrence between those two models? 2. Is there any Firmware diffrence between them? 3. (Most important for me) Is there any Feature diffrences? The Shop itself couldn't tell me the diffrences between those two models Thanks in advance. |

| Thanks Juan C. I visited the Linksys website and found out that they have 4 Linksys SPAs: 1. SPA1001 v1.0 2. SPA2002 v1.0 3. SPA2100 v1.0 4. SPA3000 v1.0 I agree that the features are the same with Sipura's SPA but there are no available firmware on the Linksys website which makes me wonder that it uses a different firmware. In terms of quality, IMHO this SPA devices are much more improved in terms of quality and packaging. I hope there is somebody here who already tested the device so I can decide if I will buy the Sipura SPA because of the availability of the firmware. |

| The devices are more or less the same as the devices originally released by Sipura (prior to the Linksys acquisition). They're just in a different case and have Linksys branding on them. They should be functionally identical. And yes, Linksys is planning on making the firmware available on their site (at least that's what they've told me).

| Thanks guys! My email to Sipura support said that they will escalate my concern, it looks like that they are not aware about the Linksys SPA devices. I'll keep this forum updated just for us to have an idea if the firmware for both Sipura boxes and Linksys SPA devices are the same. |
