I downloaded the utility but could not make it work. I draged the Sipura Icon to the new file area and it says Unable to get configuration from Sipura. Socket Error# 11001 Host not found I don't have any admin password. Do i have to add something to the address of the device. Currently i am setting the address to http://192.168.0.3 in the utility. It does not write anything even if i set the address to 192.168.0.3. What am I doing wrong?

Well, I don't think you are doing anything wrong. The tool did not work for me as well. Same behavior. However, i found the following backup/restore trick that works fine in this simplified guide @ http://www.jmgtechnology.com.au/spa_3000_guide.pdf Simply, to backup (using Windows XP/Internet Explorer 6 or 7): 1. Logon to your SPA3102 device 2. Change the view to Admin and Advanced 3. Right-Click anywhere empty in the page and select "View Source". It should show the html code in notepad. 4. Save the file as anyname.htm This is it, This is your backup. It will save all of your settings. To restore, you need to edit to the file you saved previously (anyname.txt) to do this: 1. right-click the file and choose open with - Notepad 2. Search for <form action="asipura.spa" method="POST"> 3. Change this line to <form action="http://Ip address of Sipura Device/admin/advanced/asipura.spa" method="POST"> 4. Save and close the file 5. Now, double click the file to open it in Internet Explorer 6. go to the bottom of the page and click on submit button. Done. Your settings are restored. Very easy and neat. I like it, and it does work. Have fun. Last edited by eric : October 19th, 2006 at 08:41 PM. Reason: Changed < back to <

Thx for the reply, but the post you are refering to is talking baout SPA3000 Device. We are talking about SP-3102 device. I have both devices. The Utility works on SPA-3000 but it apears that it does not work on the SPA-3102 Device. I hope the utility's next version will address this issue. . thx,

I am wondering to know if your Utility works with SIP 3102 series ? Could be a great tool to save time and effort in my effort to research on my 3102´s configuration under ICH standards. Thanks in advance for this great job Juan

Hi, EASY WAY TO SAVE/RESTORE CONFIGURATION OF ANY DEVICE I am new to this forum. I'd like to share this information - the forum has been of great help to me in configuring my newly acquired SP3102 devices. I'm using Roboform to save the settings of my SAP3102s. Roboform is a password utility program - RoboForm: Password Manager, Form Filler, Password Generator, Fill & Save Forms, free download, you can use it for 30 days without purchasing, thereafter your allowed to use only up to 20 passcards (with the annoying prompt to purchase). You can save any device configuration as a passcard and it will retain all the information. If you want to restore, just click on the passcard and viola! everything restored. You can use this utility to save configuration of ANY device configurable via web page. For SPA3102, I had to do 2 passcard saves, one for the Router Configuration and one of the Voice Configurations. Just go to the any sub tab of Router configuration and click save on the Roboform and then do the same for the Voice Configuration. The great thing is that all sub tabs of each configuration are automatically saved and can be restored without the need to go to them individually. You can resave the passcards with new configuration data as many times as you need. Please note - do not click on passcard unless you want to restore the settings. I've even used it for templates when helping friends and relatives do the initial configuration of their devices. Cheers! Last edited by nvtiglao : October 5th, 2006 at 01:27 PM.

"http://<MY_3102_IP>/admin/asipura.spa" or I would get a 404 error, but with that change it works great. |
