Default Tweak SPA3000 to allow PSTN Line to Disconnect

Hello,

Extremely sorr if this has been answered already, but am in a REAL hurry.

I've got my SPA3000 setup at home, with PSTN to Line 1 gateway setup and it has been working perfectly for a year.

I took my settings file, modified it to submit to a new device, and setup a friends SAP3000. The friend lives down the road on the same telephone network.

Everything works perfectly, except the PSTN gateway. When he calls the home PSTN number, enter the pin, and get VoIP dialtone,, sometimes, it works, usually, the PSTN line doesn't disconnect. The PSTn number becomes engaged and he has to physically remove the PSTN line from the SPA/ or remove the power for the line to become dis-engaged again.

Which setting/parameters should I play with to get it to work?.

The SPA is being used in Cairo, Egypt.

Thanks
Riz

Default RE: Tweak SPA3000 to allow PSTN Line to Disconnect

Have a look at the disconnect features at the bottom of the PSTN Line (I think) page. Play with CPC, polarity reversal, etc.

Also confirm that (on the Info page) your friend's PSTN Line Voltage when idle is around -48v and when engaged is around -9v. If either of these numbers is strange you will need to adjust the threshold voltage to suit.

p.s. You remembered to adjust the localisation settings (impedance, etc.), right?
