Default Egypt Call Progress tones

In Egypt, the progress tones depend on the CO the the phone is connected to, there is German system, American and an old system, there is also a wireless CDMA system for rural areas.

The ringing tone usually depends on the the party you're calling, and there is a different ringing tone for for calling long distance and mobile phones.

Here is the progress tone that I managed to collect, in Sipura format

busy
450;4(.5/.5/1)
disconnect tone
450@-30;4(.25/.25/1) (German CO)
450@-30;4(.5/.5/1) (American CO)
congestion tone
450@-30;4(.25/.25/1) (German CO)
450@-30;4(.5/.5/1) (American CO)
dial tone
425;10(*/0/1) (German CO)
450x50;10(*/0/1) (American CO)
ringing tone
450x50;*(1/4/1) (for calling regular numbers)
400@-30,500@-30;*(1/4/1+2) (for calling the wireless CDMA numbers)
400@-30,450@-30;*(0.384/0.192/1+2,0.384/2.016/1+2) (for calling old systems numbers)
425@-30;*(2/1/1) (for calling long distance and mobile numbers)
Also, this information is provided in 3amsystems.com, however, I couldn't verify it
Egypt Busy tone 425x50 1.0 on 4.0 off
Egypt Congestion tone 450 0.5 on 0.5 off
Egypt Intrusion tone 450 0.5 on 0.5 off
Egypt Payphone recognition tone 1100+1750/750+1450 0.2 on 0.2 off 0.2 on 2.0 off
Egypt Ringing tone 425x50 2.0 on 1.0 off
Egypt Special information tone 950/1400/1800 0.33 on 0.33 off 0.33 on 0.33 off 0.33 on 0.33 off

Default Re: "Translating" your Disconnect Tone

Here is a proper way to configure Linksys SPA400 (ver.1 firmware 1.0.0.9) disconnecting tone for MtNet PSTN in Macedonia.

Login to the SPA400 web interface and go to:

http://<SIP400_IP_address>/html/setup.cgi?next_file=cptone.htm

Enter the following values:

Tone on fraction : 39%
High cutoff frequency : 410 Hz
Low cutoff frequency : 390 Hz
First Tone Detection time On(ms): 500
First Tone Detection time Off(ms): 500
Repeat count : 1

Save the settings and you're done.

Regards,

Hey, I was trying to use the Disconnect Tone that you mentioned here, but it didn't work for me in Guatemala.

I also tried to get the disconnect tone using your directions.
What I got was:
419@-30,419@-30;3(.2/.2/1+2)

But it is still not working with my SPA3102.

Please, help!

Thanks.
Héctor.

Talking Irish Disconnect tone

Hi Guys,
Firstly I must say voxilla.com is an amazing resourse for me over here in Ireland & I would like to give back to the forum.
I calculated the disconnect tone for Ireland:

420@-30,420@-30;4(.30/.20/1+2)

freq = 421.25hz mesured in Sigview

Setup:
SPA3102 with blueface.ie VoIP account
Xlite with blueface.ie VoIP account.
I ring in to the Xlite VoIP account throught PSTN line of SPA.
Once connected I end the call on the SPA side.
I get a constant tone for 60 seconds then a alternating tone which ends the call this is what I take as the disconnect tone. I placed this disconnect tone into my SPA settings.
My old problems with the SPA detecting a a disconnect tone when dialing into to the unit has been solved.

I hope this helps sone people out there

Regards
Dan
