Default DIsconnect tone for Hong Kong

Does anybody have any idea abt the Disconnect tone for telecom companies in Hong kong?

As per documents avalaiable on web and also analysis of the disconnect-tone by the process described here the string comes out to be

480@-20,620@-20;4(.5/.5/1+2)

However, its not detected by SPA 3000 as the disconnect tone.

I am sure abt the frequencies and the on & off time but not so sure abt the power parameter and also the cycle time.

Any idea as to how these can be calculated from the disconnect tone?

Default RE: DIsconnect tone for Hong Kong

The disconnecting tone working on mine is:
480@-19,620@-19;2(.5/.5/1+2)

if your line is more soft and you might even want to try:
480@-15,620@-15;2(.5/.5/1+2)

Why don't you download SigView from http://www.sigview.com and do it yourself? Everything needed is explained in the original post.

MrMan:

The problem is SigView download is a demo and expires. Mine already expired so I cannot use it any more.

In what country are you located? Did you try Voxilla Wizard?

Default RE: Help Please

Hi

I am in South Africa.

Firstly, I used audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net), and it works well for analyzing frequencies and duration. It seems that the pattern here is 400Hz for 2.5 sec, followed by silence for 0.5 sec. I set up the tone script as 400@-30,400@-30;4(2.5/0.5/1).

I attach two screenshots from audacity.

Hope this is of help.

Sweni

425@-30,425@-30;1(.375/.375/1+2) - Is this disconnect tone valid in Sydney, and throughout Australia? Thanks.

Hi thePatel,
Did you used the BSNL POTS line or the their CellOne (CellPhone) Service to record the disconnect tone. I am also trying to configure my SPA3K. Your help will be really appreciated. Also can you send me the other PSTN settings for you SPA 3K like the impedence etc...
Thanks

Well as an enthusiast we can discover the disconnect tones from the wav file and so on.... it gives a great sense of achievement i do agree.

But for those who need a fast solution simply go to the following website
3am Systems - World PSTN Tone Database

this is a wonderfule website giving the sipura codes of various tones for many countries around the world.

cheers
