Default SPA962 & Xorcom not talking! Much help needed!

Firstly, I am very new to VoIP. Here's the situation.

Have a Xorcom XR1000 unit with a SPA962 and a number of SPA921 extensions. I am trying to test if things work by linking the 962, a single 921 the Xorcom unit and a laptop to a D-Link TP-SF1024 switch. There is no outside connection to the internet or an analogue phone line.

Firstly, should I be able to call one phone with the other with this setup?
If not, what needs to change?
If so, something is not working as it should.

I am able to access the web interfaces using the IP addresses for both phones and the Xorcom unit. I can set up all the different parameters for the phones and the Xorcom unit.

What I need to know is how I give the phones an extension number and then associate that with the IP address of the phone. Or is this not how it works?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Bruce

No worries - it is all fixed and working! Nowhere in the documentation did it say to change the bind address to the IP of the Xorcom box!

That's what you get when experts write the instruction manuals!
