My Panasonic portable phone (KX-TG5423) with 3 handsets has been configured so the Voicemail tone detection/Message alert (LED) are enabled. All my handsets indicate Message waiting. When I login in my BYOD ATA (SPA3102) as admin I see this: Voice tab: Info: Message waiting: YES. However there is no message on the server. Here is the rest of my ATA settings related to Voicemail: Regional: VMWI Refresh Intvl: 0 Line 1: VMWI Serv: Yes MWi serv: Yes User 1: Supplementary Service Settings: Message Waiting: Yes Ring Settings: VMWI Ring Splash Len: 0 VMWI Ring Policy: New VM Available It looks to me that I am getting a signal from my provider (Acanac) telling my ATA that there is a message but there is actually NO MESSAGE. I checked with my provider and they say: "You get a beep voice when you receive a new message and this feature has been activated with our service by default. You need to contact your ATA provider in this matter to check your own." Any idea how to resolve this? Thank you. |

| If your ATA is similar to my SPA2100 then look under the User_1 tab and set Message Waiting: no Message Waiting setting is toggled yes/no by SIP notify messages from your VSP, however if the 'no' message did not reach your ATA for some reason then it could stay 'yes' for some time. Many people want to hear a short chirp at regular intervals if there is an unheard voice mail waiting. So, if you want to hear a chirp on new VM then set VMWI Ring Splash Len: .5 If you want to hear the chirp every 5 minutes then set VMWI Refresh Intvl: 300 I am still trying to get VM working correctly on my SPA2100. Let us know how this works out for you. Last edited by boatman : July 11th, 2008 at 04:55 AM. |
