Default SPA3102 Message Waiting

My apologies if this has been asked before but I’ve looked every where and can’t seem to find an answer. I have a VoIP subscription with VOXALOT. When someone calls me and I don’t answer they get voice mail and they leave me a voice message.

Some time later the phone rings for about 0.5sec and then the message indicator on my phone lights which shows I have a message. When I listen to the Phone dial tone it’s the Stutter tone indicating there is a Message waiting. This all works as I would expect it to.

I retrieve the message from the voice mail (Voxalot *500), clear the message indicator on my phone but I can’t clear the Message Waiting status in the SPA3102 hence I keep getting the Stutter Tone indicating that there is still a message waiting.

How does the Message Waiting status get reset in the SPA3102.

I know I can turn this off permanently in the USER1 options, but this is not what I want.

Any body got any ideas.

THANKS

I know know how it works. When you clear the voice message on Voxalot you just have to be patient within 5 minutes the Messsage Waiting status changes to NO, the stutter dial tone stops and the message indicator on the Telephone goes out.

It's all down to patience, I stated playing with the Message Waiting field in User 1 before Voxalot sent a reset which stuffed everything up!!!!

Regards ALL

Thank you for your message which has helped me narrowed it down. I played with Voxalot recently which left me with a similar stutter even when I re-register back with my usual supplier. I was going to post a question in this forum when I spotted your post, and learned that the message waiting field is in the USER1 field, once that is set to NO the stuuter stopped. I do not need this confusing sounds. Thanks again
