Does it help any to dial the 800 number with the country code (1), i.e. 18008000800? I ask because that is what is required with my pstn (AT&T). |

| Can you save and post the actual configuration page as it appears while you get the recording... goto http://ip_address/admin/voice/advanced .. dial a number... when you get the hang up and dial again message, refresh the webpage... and then..do file..save as... and post the html page here...

| Looking at the traces it's hard to tell what is going wrong, if anything. The message "The call could not be completed" comes when you have a number the pstn cannot complete and logic may say that they don't complete 10-digit numbers. The other messages comes, like you say, when you take the phone off hook and don't dial anything. The trace, however appears to show that the dialing did complete. The FXO port went off hook. It's possible to put data and time on the trace by (on the System tab) changing the debug level from 3 to 3++H. The seconds timing might be useful if you continue to have the problem. |

Thank you for all your efforts in trying to locate the problem. I got the thing going by doing what I did not want to do and that is do a hard reset. I have a feeling that there must have been some setting that I must have changed which was causing all the issues that I was facing. Now I have to start the configuration process all over again but this time I will test the functionality after making a single change this way I'll know as to what setting causes the thing to break. I'll keep on posting as things get completed. This forum has been a great help. Samarth |
