I'm going to South Africa next month to set up the SPA3102 at my sister-in-law's. We have an spa3102 here in the uk.

Is there any advice anyone can give me for regional settings for South Africa such as FXS Port Impedance and Caller ID Method, or anything else I should know about?

Hi

I,ve bought the SPA3102 about a week ago in South Africa. Herewith the initial settings to get it working. Please note that I still have to configure dial plans etc, but it's making and receiving calls from the PSTN line - so for now I'm focussing on the installation of the SIP phones in the office.

I'm using a windows platform with the free version PBX software from 3cx.com. It works great, but in the free version the FAX facility is not active.

Please also take note of the frequency of the disconnect tone - it works...

As it turned out my sister in law only wanted SIP functionality so didn't have to go into the PSTN side of things (which was the bit that was worrying me).

If they ever want to use the PSTN functionality then I'm sure your document will be invaluable. Thanks.

The out-the-box settings work just fine in SA ( Im there too )
