Thanks for re-opening the original thread, and the thread tools tip. I can confirm that the 'Line-In-Use Voltage' parameter on the PSTN Line tab is set to the actual line-in-use voltage of ~7V, and the PSTN line status is reported as on-hook.

AberDino Finally someone else is having similar problems to me. I'm based on the Isle of Man, UK - the phone network is as per the BT network (according to the telco). I work for an ISP/ITSP who has hundreds of VoIP devices in the field - the majority of which have PSTN ports (Speedtouch 780WL, Fritzbox, Sipura 3102 to name a few). For some people CallerID works fine and is passed through the ATA/Router to their phone, for others (including my house phone) CallerID isn't passed through to the connected device. If I plug my DECT phone straight it, it works perfectly. If I try the Router/ATA in someone else's house - it works fine. This has happened to a few customers in different locations using different types of phone - and I've never been able to work out the problem. I've used all sorts of debug, syslog and fiddling with FXO/FXS settings but no joy. I seem to remember reading that certain types of ADSL micro-filter/NTE can bugger the CallerID. I also remember reading that originally BT didn't officially support CallerID on lines with ADSL (not verified). If you google "BT CallerID Broadband" it throws up a few hits. I am going to try changing my ADSL NTE to some decent micro-filters and see if that makes a difference.

joeyconcrete, I'm happy too to find someone who has the same problem! Have you made any progress in the meantime? I have tried three different microfilters and unfortunately it didn't make any difference for me. Also, I've tried my setup (including microfilter) on a friend's BT line (BT broadband enabled) and it works perfectly well, similar to your experiences.

Hi AberDino, joeyconcrete Did either of you resolve the problem with outbound dialling? I'm seeing similar issues to those that AberDino reported (though incoming callerid is fine). Have tried a couple of different microfilters, and it's definitely the case that dialling is fine without the microfilter, but with the microfilter in place the 3102 will not dial. However, the "Last Called PSTN Number" setting is set correctly, so it may think it's dialled... Regards Ben

Hi, Did you ever get callerid working. I have a 780WL which works great *apart* from incoming PSTN calls not passing through callerid to attached dect basestations. This is driving the family potty and I've been told it has to go! So in the interests of saving call costs I was looking at the AX255 switch from cooltronics, to see if this might help, and also at other VoIP enabled adsl modems or more likely standalone gateways. I would need to stay with a broadcom bcm6338/6348 router if I switched due to line length/quality. The 780WL (and thomson 585) work well. Do any gateways/routers/switches work properly with bt caller id?
