Default SPA3000 stops recieving calls after a few hours

After reading the forum, searching, etc, I can't find a solution to this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated:

I have an SPA3000 set up to use Gizmo and it works for the most part, but after a few hours (or overnight) it stops recieving calls. I can make calls, and the status page shows that it is registered, but when someone calls my call-in number it goes to voicemail. Unpluging and reconnecting the power to the SPA-3000 fixes the problem, but after a few hours the problem happens again.

Thanks

Default RE: SPA3000 stops recieving calls after a few hours

Every time you Register with a SIP server, that server sends a tag in the confirmation specifying when it expects your next Registration. That time is typically 60 to 3600 seconds into the future. If you do not Register at that time, the server presumes that you are off line and will not present calls to you until you Register again. You have a setting on your Line page for "Register Expires". That setting kicks in if the tag I described above comes in corrupted or not at all.

It looks like you are not getting this tag from your provider and that your Register Expires value is larger than the provider requires. Try setting this value to 60 seconds and see if the problem goes away.

p.s. The Info page will continue to show Registered until the Register Expires timer runs out, regardless of whether the server thinks you are alive or not.
