Default SPA3000 PHONE Port connected to LINE Port Set-up

Can you connect SPA3000 PHONE port to LINE port using an RJ11 cable, without any adverse effect on the unit, or any other implications? This way, when I dial remotely and use the VOIP-to-PSTN call scenario that can be authenticated through PIN, then I can use the Line1 plus four other gateways for the outgoing call, and I can select which gateway to use depending on the type of call I'm making.

This seemed to be working, I can dial from my mobile phone to my PSTN number, authenticate, and complete a call via the Line1 or the gateways, depending on the dial plan I created (ex. gw4 to call toronto, gw3 to call UK, gw2 to call stanaphone numbers). BTW, on my PHONE port, I have the splitter (one goes to my analog phone, and the other goes to the LINE port) so I can still receive the calls when I'm home IF I can pick it up well before the PSTN Answer Delay time of 30 seconds.

I'm sure some of you folks have tried this already, I just want to know if you encounter any problems with this setup, and if possible, provide me some good info.

Thanks.

Default RE: SPA3000 PHONE Port connected to LINE Port Set-up

This is the recommended scheme to achieve VoIP-to-VoIP connectivity with one device. It is well discussed in several threads here on the forum.
