Default SPA3000 call routing

Is it possible to set the SPA3000 up to do call routing for the PSTN line?

i.e. Geographical numbers would need to be prefixed with 18899 before the number and mobile and other numbers to be routed to other providers depending on the time of day?

Cheers

Steve

Sorry. No ATA, including any made by Sipura, can change its behaviour based upon the time of day. Asterisk can do this for you, but it may be overkill for a small installation.

Thanks for your reply.... Its a shame it won't.

I assume you can set it up to forward different dialling codes to different providers ok though?

i.e. Geographical to one provider, Mobile numbers to another provider 0870's to another ect....?

If it is easy to setup, is this done with a dial plan?

To first question I believe the answer is yes. To the second I believe is No.

Could you please clarify your second question.

Yes of course. This is what I would like to get to, but i'm not sure if its possible and how to do it:-

Incoming Calls from Sipgate VoIP and the PSTN Line to ring the standard phone plugged into the SPA3000

When I pick up the phone I would like all outgoing calls to standard UK landline numbers i.e. numbers starting like 01 or 02 ect to routed via the uk's 18899 service by prefixing dialled numbers of the PSTN line with 18899 (I don't want to have to push #or any other key to get on the PSTN line, I just want to dial the number and have the Sipura prefix the 1899 number and push it straight out the PSTN line.

Other none regional dial codes i.e. 0870, 0845 mobiles, international, 999, 1471, 1571, 123 and 0800 numbers and can go straight out the PSTN not through the 1899 service.

I would then like the ability to access my Sipgate.co.uk VoIP line by pushing button 9 (if not the # button).

I have also setup a Sipbroker forwarding account to do speed dials of Sip names and numbers but this can wait until I get the above working......

Is this possible?

Routing based on dialed numbers is posible. What you need is a very detailed dial plan in Line 1. You must be very specific about it.

Your dial plan could look like this:

(<0870:>xx.<:@gw0>|<0845:>xx.<:@gw0>|<00:>xx.<:@gw 0>|<999:>xx.<:@gw0>|<123:>xx.<:@gw0>| <0800:>xx.<:@gw0>| <:18899:>xx.<:@gw0>|<9,:>xx.<@gw2>). Assuming in gw2 you have configured Sipgate.co.uk account information.

Dialed number starting with 0870, 0845 mobiles, international (assuming starting with 00), 999, 1471, 1571, 123 and 0800 will go to PSTN line without prefixing anything. Anything else will also go to PSTN but prefixing 18899 to the dialed number. If you need to be able to dial * or #, you must include it in the dial plan.

The Dial Plan suggested is almost suitable for you. I recommend the following adjustments:

(0870xxxxxxxS0<:@gw0>|0845xxxxxxxS0|001[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|00[2-9]xxxxx.|999S0<:@gw0>| 123S0<:@gw0>|0[58]0[08]xxxxxxxS0<:@gw0>| <:18899:>0[127]xxxxxxxxxS0<:@gw0>|1[45]71S0<:@gw0>)

This Dial Plan routes NGN, toll free, 999 and 123 calls directly to BT, STD calls via 18899, and international calls via sipgate. If you need to make adjustments to this, the above Dial Plan should give you a good jumping off point.

Thanks guy's that's great help!

I made a typing error the 18899 number should of said 18866, It took me a while to work out why it wouldn't work but I got there in the end...

With the bases of your help I did some reading up to understand how you coded it. I then managed to modified the last bit of the Dial Plan to use my Sipbroker speed dial account for Sip names..... Great stuff!!!

(0870xxxxxxxS0<:@gw0>|0845xxxxxxxS0|001[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|00[2-9]xxxxx.|999S0<:@gw0>| 123S0<:@gw0>|0[58]0[08]xxxxxxxS0<:@gw0>|<:18866:>0[127]xxxxxxxxxS0<:@gw0>|1[45]71S0<:@gw0>| <#,:>xx.|<**,:>xxxx.<:@gw1>)

Now you got me hooked on this clever stuff....... I would like to do one more modification but not sure how to do this one:-

To use 18866 you need to use the full UK dialling code. If you are dialling local numbers it easy to forget this and often we just dial the seven digit number (i.e. 9118888). How would I modify the Dial Plan for the 18866 forwarding part to automatically add the Bristol dial code 0117 if we forgot to dial it (i.e. we forget and just dial seven digits)?

Thanks for all your help

Steve

I think I managed to work it out.

(0870xxxxxxxS0<:@gw0>|0845xxxxxxxS0|001[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|00[2-9]xxxxx.|999S0<:@gw0>| 123S0<:@gw0>|0[58]0[08]xxxxxxxS0<:@gw0>|<:18866:>0[127]xxxxxxxxxS0<:@gw0>| <:188660117:>[1-9]xxxxxxS0<:@gw0>|1[45]71S0<:@gw0>|<#,:>xx.| <**,:>xxxx.<:@gw1>)

Can some one confirm its ok? It seems to work alright...

Steve

The best way to make sure is trying. Don't wait for ansers yout wait to know if it works. To be sure download slogsrv from Sipura's site, configure your SPA3000 to send log records to PC running slogsrv and see what is it dialing in every case.
