| Hi everybody, Great forums here. I just wanted to share my new experiences here since it seems this is a common theme in several other forums. I just got a spa1001 to play with 2 days ago. I was up and running in about an hour after ripping open the UPS delivery from the Voxilla store. I had my ata configured and was playing with my FWD account but for the life of me couldn't figure out why my phone wouldn't get any incoming rings. I could check the info page on the web interface and see that there was an incoming call and if I picked up the phone I could use the phone fine for the call. After combing through every single forum and every single page and trying all the NAT/STUN/port forwarding & triggering suggestions what finally worked for me was to nuke everything and start from scratch with a factory reset. I ran the voxilla wizard with my account info for my FWD account on line1 and the free iConnectHere offering from the voxilla store on line 2. I noticed that when my 1001 got it's DHCP info from the linksys that it didn't have it's primary and secondary DNS servers set. On a lark, I put this info in and tested an incoming call on my FWD account. IT WORKED! The phone rings normally now like it should. I didn't get around to playing with any of the port forwarding, range triggering, STUN settings and I'm not going to since it works. Although this is making me curious now as to how it's working and why everyone else is messing around with STUN and their ports and I don't have to...??? |
