| I bought my SIPURA SPA-841 from Voxilla about a week ago. I came with ZERO documentation. So far my experience using this phone has not been very positive. * When dialing numbers that require you to select an extension number (like 70% of bussineses!) then the phone refuses to recognize the extension number entered. I have written to SIPURA twice about this problem, but nobody has replied to me about what the problem could be. I am certain is not BROADVOICE because I have another line (using a SIPURA SPA-2000 with an Uniden multi-set phone!), and it works perfectly. * Big echo when calling Spain. I made a call to Spain, and the echo was horrible. * The phone's headset is extremely loud. * The keys are very sticky. You have to press them hard to make sure they get recognized. * Voxilla sells this phone with a Broadvoice discount code, but so far Voxilla has not called me back for support. Anyway, I hope it is me doing something wrong with the phone setup, but I doubt it. The User SPA-841 Guide is now available at http://www.sipura.com/Documents/SPA841UserGuide.pdf Any recommendations would be highly appreciated!!!! Regards, RR PS: BROADVOICE says that they are hiring 5 more support personnel, so hopefully their very long hold times will be cut in half!! |

| For the DTMF I have it set to INBAND, so I don't think that is the problem. It would be nice if SIPURA would answer Emails from their customers! I will be calling them today, and ask for a reply to my Email. I think that by buying their product I deserve an answer. Any more suggestions are welcome!! For those using this phone (phoneboy, etc.) , could you confirm that you can select extensions when calling a number with an automated attendant? Thanks in advance! Regards, Ra |

The volume of the headset is controllable. It defaults to 8 which is really loud. You can change it in the web interface and on the phone. I think you're blaiming the messenger with your echos on your call to Spain. Echo is typically caused when you go from analog to digital. With a digital phone to a VOIP provider (BroadVoice) the echo is most likely coming when BroadVoice goes back to analog in Spain. If you don't hear echo when you're making other calls then it isn't the phone. - |Daryll |

| Sipura doesn't support end users, only resellers and service providers. At the moment, we aren't entirely set up for live phone support. If you haven't done so already, you can fill out a request at http://voxilla.com/help. If you cannot dial extensions after connecting via VoIP, it is an issue of differences between how your phone and how the VoIP provider expect receive touch tones as I previously described. BroadVoice specifically uses INBAND DTMF (which is, btw, the least reliable) and will ONLY work if you use G.711. Other protocols, you can forget it. I believe I had issues using touch tones on my SPA-841 with BroadVoice, I'll have to try setting it up again.

| Phoneboy: Thank you for your help! Let me tell you that now the problem seems to be limited to 1 particular number in Canada which happens to be my main supplier for the products we sell. I have tried other numbers both in the US and Canada and they seem to work fine with extensions. Only the number 905-820-2404 seems to create the problem, but I need to solve this problem since I normally call them numerous time a day. As I mentioned before, when I call this number from my other BV account (SPA-2000 + Uniden) it works fine. Any other suggestions would be welcome! Thanks again! RR |

| I'd suggest my configuration change if you haven't tried it. Otherwise, you might have to take some debug output from your SPA-841.
