Smile SPA-3102 VoIP to PSTN configuration

Dear all,

I'm a newbies , and configuring a pair of SPA3102 using a static public ip (point to point / peer 2 peer).
the first unit configured as 'x.x.x.x' ip address, located on country 'a'.
the second unit configured as 'y.y.y.y' ip address located on country 'b'.

succeed to make voip to voip call from country 'a' to country 'b' and vice versa.
but still can't make voip to pstn call from country 'a' to pstn/mobile in country 'b' (vice versa).
kindly please anyone can help me to configure the 'pstn line' tab?
and any other suggestions regarding my current configuration to make the connection using static public ip.

Rgds,

Win

Sounds like you got over the big hurdle of just calling from one to the other.

There are a number of settings on the PSTN tab that must be set correctly. The following is a partial list.

For incoming calls, the voip configuration on the pstn line tab needs to have a different port number from the line 1 tab. For direct calling, you need to setup Make and Ans Call without reg YES. You must allow the G711u codec. You must enable Voip-to-PSTN Gateway. The Voip Answer Delay should be a low number. You should investigate the FXO port (PSTN) impedance to make sure you have the correct setting and verify your Line-in-use threshold to insure the voltage is higher than the setting when the pstn is on hook and lower than the setting when the pstn is off hook.

hwittenb,
Would share how to test for voltage settings to be lower or higher than settings. Maybe this why my voip-pstn isn't working? Thx.
