| Hello, My SPA-3102 is between DSL modem and WRT router. Calls forwarded from my CallCentric's DID to VoipDiscount's SIP URI reach my phone, but both parties cannot hear anything (SPA-3102 is registered under VoipDiscount account, which is my outbound provider). Both providers say no probs on their side. Everything is fine with softphone X-Lite and I tried different codecs on SPA-3102 like G711u and G729a - still doesn't help. Probably this is a NAT problem? Please advise... Thanks, Oleg |

| Audio problems are most always a NAT problem. The sip signalling packets make it thru to their destination but the rtp packet stream does not. Different routers work differently. I would first make sure that you are using a STUN server on your 3102. On the Line tab set NAT Mapping Enable: YES, Symmetric RTP:YES (the default) On the sip tab set the following: Substitute VIA Addr:YES Send Resp To Src Port:YES STUN Enable:YES STUN Server:stun.softjoys.com (or any other STUN server) A STUN server does not work with certain routers, namely SYMMETRIC routers. Most consumer routers do not fall into this category, however if you have one you may need to forward the RTP ports. The default rtp port range on the 3102 is 16384 to 16482. The port range is on the sip tab. Forwarding is done on your router. What is your router brand and model? |
