hi there, I am about to go shopping for my first sipura and I am deciding between the two SPAs, 3000 & 3102, I searched the forum but there seems no info that I look for

I want to know if SPA3102 has the same configuration interface as SPA 3000 and if you can use those configuration wizards on this forum with it.

If I don't need the router that comes with SPA3102, should I better just buy the 3000? The price difference is not a factor, its pretty well almost the same anyway. I worry when times comes and I will experiment with asterisk, I may run into difficulties or get confused because pretty well all help assumes you have the 3000

in remote times, I started computing with Macintoshes and even now many years after I still get shivers over not being compatible with the rest of the world LOL hence my querry

There isn't really very much difference b/w the two in terms of VoIP setup b/w the two, I've used both, and feel the 3102 has better sound... alos... spa3000 will soon (if not already) reach EoL status... so.. the choice is really quite simple... SPA3102

The 3102 is said to have more memory and, of course, a router. The 3000 has an available manual that attempts to explain the device. You can't say that about the 3102 unless you assume the 3000 manual does the job.
