My apologies of this has been answered before, but I have googled the web and searched this forum.

I have two SIP providers configured on my SPA-2002, a UK provider for UK calls and US provider for US calls. Is it possible to select which provider a call is carried by from the phone handset?

It looks like on the single FXS devices I can use # to select the carrier, but I've had no luck with that - I'd really rather not need two phones and switch between them.

Even better would be if the dial plan can select an outbound carrier - i.e any call that starts with a 1 is a US call and goes with carrier 1, calls starting with 0 are in the UK and go with the UK carrier. Any chance of that working?

You have SPA2002 with 2 separate lines … only SPA1001 has this option to selecting providers from one phone because there is only 1 FXS port. I’m not familiar with SPA2002, but this is maybe possible to do with dial plans.
But you can do this with TWO lines telephone!

The SPA-2002 is two independent FXS-to-VoIP devices in one physical box. There is no pathway between the two Lines. I recommend a two-line cordless phone, if you are in a country where they are readily available.
