Default SPA-1001, how to prohibit incoming calls...

I have a SPA-1001 hooked up to a phone, but I do not want that phone to receive incoming calls. Is there a way to restrict the Sipura box to "outgoing only"?

In "Line 1" or "Line 2", what ever you want, "Proxy and Registration" section Configure "register: NO". You Sipura will not register to the server so no incomming calls can be received.

The other possibility is to use *78 to toggle do not disturb on. However, this can be turned off easily using *79 which may not be what you want.

Phil.

Many service providers require registration in order to make calls, so that suggestion may not work.

Phil Quinney's suggestion might be made to work if you delete the *79 entry from your Regional page, thus preventing a user from turning off Do Not Disturb.

Another option, though not as foolproof, is to set your Ring Cadence 1 to 5(0/5), which will stop the SPA from ringing the phone.
