Default RE: problem with SPA1001 dialing out

hi, can you guide me regarding brainTel. how you can get it outside pakistan. what are the specifications. is it necessary that it should be registered on somebody in Pakistan's name. or do they care whether you are using it overseas. for instance if i get the connection, do I have to buy the adapter from brain.net or can i buy it from here (USA). which adapters are compatible and how do you configure them. I really appreciate your help.

Braintel service was down from Sept 7th to Sept 11th, they finally had it up but still it's not running very perfectly.
There has been a major change in the configuration and now their sip proxy address is "chat.braintel.net:8891"
Their tech support is also recommending changing the Listen rtp port under network for X-pro to 2+last four numbers of your phone number from 8000, but this should not be done.
This one is only for X-pro changing the listening port and has nothing to do with the sip connection with their sip server.
One more thing to justify the above, if you follow their tech support and wants to use the last four digits of your phone number plus 2, you can only enter the even numbers there and not the odd numbers. Suppose the last four digits of phone number are 2007 and you want to put 22007, X-pro will change it to 22006, because it can only accept even number for the Listen rtp port.

Salam Rafiqu,
No you don't need to change the rtp port any where in soft phone or hardware like spa 3000 or any other, the only change required is for sip proxy and it should now be entered as
chat.brain.net.pk:8891
No other change is required.

U r Welcome

The two ring issue is specific to Braintel server and only when you are dialing a ptcl number, you can try your voice mail 210-0800 or their help desk 210-0000 or the time number 210-0014 and you will only get one proper ring pattern.
I have spa 2000 and using Braintel on one line and voipbuster on 2nd line and have tried by switching the configuration for both to opposite lines and still getting two ring on Braintel and Voipbuster working fine.
