Default Some sip providers need to be registered make outgoing calls

I have Oztel registered in the Sip settings of my SPA 3000. I am having trouble with some of the other sip providers being used in the gateway positions, they work allright when registered in the primary position. Do some sip providers need to be register to make outgoing calls.

You would try put on gateway info

yournumber@yoursipproviderproxy instead of yoursiproviderproxy

Most two-way service providers require registration in order to make outgoing calls. The gateways were designed to facilitate the inclusion of outbound only service providers in a Least Cost Routing scenario. In fact, older firmware versions were more restrictive as to which providers could be used - you used to have to use a provider who identified on AuthID instead of UserID. Now you can use providers who identify on either, but they must permit dialing without registration.
