Default Sipura3K documentation

Hello all. Today I received my sipura3k from voxilla, but I did not receive any documentation, how to setup dial plan. Where I can find pdf doc? Please help me.
What I am trying to accomplish seems achievable but I am unsure how to go about it. My goal is to be able to call into my BV phone number at home from cellphone and I want call via of my sipura3000 to UK. How do I setup my sipura3000 to recognize when I call my home BV phone line from my cellphone# by callID and allow me to call UK? (I do not have PSTN line at home only BV). Software Version: 2.0.13(GWg) has been installed. Thanks

The Sipura docs are here: http://www.sipura.com/support/
However, the setup is quite complex, and you may want to use the great wizard at http://voxilla.com/spa3kconfig.php .

As you read through this forum you will find that your question has been answered before.

Documentation is downloaded from www.sipura.com.

You set up PSTN-to-VoIP dialing with your BroadVoice credentials in the PSTN Line side of the SPA3000. You can use the Voxilla wizard to do this.

All of this, as well as limitations of a single call coming in to one service and going out via the same service are covered in depth in prior postings. Please read through them and ask any specific question regarding problems with your particular configuration.

There are also discussions on using a cell phone or a free VoIP service in place of your POTS line if you do not have POTS service. There's a wealth of information here, all waiting for you to read it.

Welcome aboard.

Michael

Thanks for your response Michael. I do not like to use wizard, (I have done lot of configuration I do not want to lose those by using wizard). I got lot of information from voxilla.com, so I will try those.

What you can do is to run the first half of the wizard and look at the confirmation screen to see what parameters are being changed. Then you can decide what to actually change by hand.

You need to have a separate phone number (from BV, FWD, StanaPhone, etc.) programmed into PSTN Line in order to make this work. BV will not permit you to call in to your BV line from your cell phone and call out to the UK using the same line.

Also, you couldn't program Selective Call Forwarding to do this because BV requires that Call Forwarding be activated in their switch and not in your ATA.

I only recommend BV for Line 1 and the other number for PSTN Line because this will make your BV line primary for making and taking calls whilst you are at home.

You seem to have the hang of putting together the Caller ID and Dial Plan bits, so please just post again if you run into difficulties in that area.

There is only one thing that caught my eye. You say that your brother is in the UK, but you show a German number for him. Also, you may wish to remember that calls to fixed numbers in the UK (and Germany) are included in BV's international plans, but calls to mobile numbers will incur an extra charge.

Berlant,

I've managed to get BV to work for both VoIP-PSNT forwarding AND PSTN-Voip (by dialling in from my cellphone) with just the one Broadvoice account setup on both Line 1 and PSTN. The setup has been working for me for over 2 weeks now. I've uploaded my working config file in the sticky section of the Sipura forum on Voxilla.

Riz
