Default Sipura SPA3000 Dial Plan H E L P

I have 2 SPA3000 one in US and the second one in Venezuela, I have registred my 2 SPA using OnDO Sip Server without any problems, I can place calls between the 2 units no problem, my problem is I just want to enable the PSTN lines in order to make calls from US to Vzla. using PSTN line in Vzla.
I read this from sipura site.
14: Can I use my spa (in US) to call a PSTN gateway in another location, say Hong Kong, to call Hong Kong PSTN numbers?
A: Yes you can. You need to set up, under Line 1:

Gateway 1= IP or FQDN of the Remote Gateway (Done!)
GW1 Auth ID = Authentication ID if required by the Gateway (Done!)
GW1 Password = Password if required by te Gateway (Done!)
GW1 Nat Mapping = yes if Nat Mapping if desired; no otherwise

Then in the line 1 dial plan, add a rule such that a call will be routed to the Hong Kong
Gateway (GW1) when certain number pattern is dialed, such as:
< 011853,: >xxxxxxxx< :@gw1> (Note: HK local number are 8 digits)

In my case will be < 01158212,: >xxxxxxx< :@gw1>
here is my Dial Plan in US
(<01158212,:>xxxxxxx<:@gw1>|*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

here is my Dial Plan in Vzla.
(<001954,:>xxxxxxx<:@gw1>|*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

What I'm doing wrong???? or do I need to enable something else?
Thanks
Fernando

Default Re: Sipura SPA3000 Dial Plan H E L P

The VoIP accounts in the PSTN side of the adapter have to be DIFFERENT than the accounts in the normal "Line 1" side of the adapter (you can NOT use the same VoIP account in both places)! This is needed, because otherwise you the adapter can't tell what you want to do with the account (normal calling, or VoIP=>POTS interconnect).

I suggest you sign up for 4 FREE "Free World Dialup" accounts ( http://account2.freeworlddialup.com/...p?section_id=4 ). You should then (at least in theory) be able to do this (without otherwise effecting/blocking your existing VoIP provider):

1) FWD account 1 is put on a "gateway" of the 1st adapter (and modify your dial plan to allow FWD calls via that gateway), to allow you to all out via FWD.

2) FWD account 2 will be REGISTERED on the PSTN side of the 1st adapter.

3) FWD account 3 is on a "gateway" of the 2nd adapter (again with a modified dial plan), to allow you to call out via FWD.

4) FWD account 4 is REGISTERED on the PSTN side of the 2nd adapter.

Then when the person at adapter 1 wants to use adapter 2's POTS line, the call would be done via FWD to the 4th FWD "number" (and entering the required PIN code). Conversely, the person with adapter 2 should be able to use adapter 1's POTS line by calling the 2nd FWD number (and entering the proper pin code). The idea here, is that you use the 4 free FWD accounts, to make it easy for you to call between the adapters (to use the VoIP=>POTS interconnect) "for free".

DracoFelis Thank you for your prompt reply, do you mean I have to create 4 accounts on "Free World Dialup"????
Also, if I use "Free World Dialup" I will not need anymore OnDO SIP Server?
Thanks
Fernando

Yes.

Think of the SPA3000 as a little like 2 adapters in one. The "Line 1" side of the adapter is for use by the "Phone" (normal adapter use), and the PSTN side of the adapter is for remote phone line use. As such, you need DIFFERENT accounts on both sides of the adapter, because they are used for different purposes. So if you want to use free FWD accounts to do this, you will need 4 of them (two for each adapter), to keep them all seperate.

NOTE: You don't have to use FWD for this. You can do this with some other VoIP service if you like. But the point is, you need a service that lets you use/register two DIFFERENT accounts per device (one per each side of the SPA3000). And FWD is a nice (and free) service that allows this.

I have no idea what services "OnDO" offers. If the only thing you are using OnDO for, is to communicate between the adapters, than you would no longer need it if/when you use FWD. In that case, revise my above suggestion to put accounts 1 and 3 on the main "Line 1" side of the adapters (instead of putting them on a "gateway"). The only reason I suggested a "gateway", was so that you could continue to use your existing (OnDO) service, in addition to using FWD. But if you want to drop the OnDO service (and go FWD only), than you don't need to use the gateway approach.

NOTE: If you do go fully FWD, you can then call either the person/phone on the other end, or remotely use the phone line, depending upon which FWD number you call. For example, user1 could call user2 by dialing the 3rd FWD number (the one now "registered" on the "Line 1" tab of the 2nd adapter). But to use the remote phone line, they call phone number 4...

DracoFelis, Thanks again for all your help, OK I will go and open 4 accounts (of course for free) Then I will program my SPA's, but now I have more questions to ask
1) How difficult will be to understand the Dial Plans on FWD?
2) Now I will need to create Dial Plans on FWD right?
For your description "YES" it will be more easy to configure using the FWD, beside you will get the "Phone Number" or "PIN"
I will let you know how it goes
Thanks
Fernando

try to change your dial plans as (<:01158212>xxxxxxx<:@gw1>|*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

(<:001954>xxxxxxx<:@gw1>|*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

It's hard to tell where things are failing, without seeing the details of the setup.

You could try uploading the actual adapter settings to this forum, and see if that gives anyone here a clue as to what isn't working. i.e. Attach to each adapter via a web browser, and do an "Admin Login" and "Advanced". Then do a "Save as" for and save the file as a *.htm file (for example, adapter1.htm and adapter2.htm). You can then upload those files to a post in this thread, and we can look over the adapter details to see if we find something.

FYI: The saved files will NOT have your passwords in them (they will be ******** out), so we can't "steal your accounts" if you do this. However, the *.htm files will have the visible info (your name and FWD phone numbers) visible in them (as that info is considered part of your adapter settings).
