Default Sipura SPA-2000 troubleshooting

I just ordered a SPA-2000 from your store, but I couldn't get correct IP address of this Sipura adapter while setting up the BroadVoice service by following its instruction of configuration change.

I called BroadVoice service support and their answer is it must be the problem with my SPA-2000 device. Please help me to solve this problem.

What happens when you dial **** from the phone connected to Line 1? Even without a Dial Tone you should hear "Sipura configuration menu...". From this prompt, dial 110# and your IP address will be read back to you.

Let us know what you find out.

Default RE: Sipura SPA-2000 troubleshooting

I am using sipura 2K with inconnecthere service provider. I am using my phone with answering machine contacted with sipura. I have set my phone so that answering should trun on after two rings but it does not work. If some one calls me it keeps ringing without going to answering machine and eventually it goes to iconnecthere voice messaging system after 5 or 6 rings. I could not figure out the problem. Is it some thing sipura is not send proper signal to turn on the answering machine. Please help.

Is your answering machine designed for use in the US? Is it, perhaps, a better engineered model?

It could be that your answering machine is rejecting a ring signal that is not US standard. For some reason, although all other factory settings are US standard, the ring signal is UK standard. If this is your situation, try setting the ring signal for US standard. On the Regional page of your SPA, about in the middle of the page, change Ring Waveform to "trapezoid", change Ring Frequency to "20" and change Ring Voltage to "90".

See if this helps.

Default Answer Machine problem

Thanks for your response. Actually both machine and Sipura are us standard. Answer machine is panasonic and is working properly other provider (Not VOIP) like pacbell land line. I changed the settings but problem did not fix. I did not change any setting to UK standards. But somehow answer machine does not like the signal from sipura to activiate the answering machine after two rings and just continues to ring. Current setting are Sinu, 20 and 70 for the mentioned section respectively. Please help. Thanks.

As I said above, US settings are Trapezoid, 20Hz, 90V. Please try again.
