Looks like a very useful tool - however, I can't put it to use, as is, because it requires an empty password on the user account. I keep my SPA on a non-firewalled network, so it needs to be at least a *little* harder to figure out how to monkey with it, so I leave passwords on all the access methods. Can the ability to specify the user password be added to the tool somewhere?

I was a deliberate decision not to have any code that can write back to the Sipura so there is no question of it breaking anything.

I may probably do a seperate tool that reads the configs stored and writes them back (with lots of 'use at your own risk' type statements if people think thatis worthwhile, but the main tool will only ever be a reporting one.
Cheers

For the initial release I stayed away from the password issue as handling it means I have to take responsibility for storing and encrypting the passwords supplied and sending them to the device.

As I was only dealing initially with the user page for monitoring and there is very little useful stuff you can get from that (just IP and MAC) I didn't think that would bother people to much (After all if they can hack to you user page on the sipura they know your IP and MAC anyway)

But as I now have config capture and compare the pasword issue is now on the todo list anyway

cheers

All

New version and a new home page (many thanks to hally for the design)

get the utility v2.03b from http://sipura.clacy.com

Main functionality added is password support

The password are stored in the registry key in an encrypted form, so safe from prying eyes but I’m sure a cray supercomputer will smash them

FYI: I upgraded to the 2.03c version, and now when I run 2 instances, after a few minutes, the program seems to lock up and cant get either instance out of the system tray... I did not have these problems in the previous version... I'm going to go back 1 version and try again.
