Default Sipura 3000 Pstn To Line Passthrough

Hi,

I am trying to configure a Sipura 3000 so as:

1) When someone calls TO the PSTN/Line port it rings the phone that is plugged into the Phone port.

2) If the power is lost to the unit, the Phone Plugged into the Phone port can make calls to the PSTN/Line Port.

I have set the following setting:

PSTN Ring Thru Line 1 = Yes

Which i beleive set the setting for when option 1 as above.

The result i am getting is that the phone rings but when i answer it there is no connection, and the PSTN caller contunes to hear ringback.

As far as registering the Phone port and making sip calls this is fine and works great.

I am using this device in the UK and wondered if its a wiring connection problem.

Any suggestions would be great.

Do you have a BT Ringer adapter inserted between the LINE jack and your home's BT jack? Have you used the Voxilla Localization Wizard to set your impedance and Call Progress Tones to be compatible with BT?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I am using an adapter from Phone Port to the Analogue Phone its the adapter that converts RJ11 to a UK Telephone connecor and has a capcitor in it to make the phone ring.

But on the Line/PSTN Port im just using a straight RJ11 to UK Telephone connector which goes straight into the socket in the wall.

Im starting to believe that its this connector because if i drop the power to the unit i get NO failback at all.
